Clean Cookstoves

Deforestation in Malawi

Over 40% of the worlds land mass is now 'degraded', with 30% of emissions from forest degradation caused by wood fuel harvesting from traditional cooking methods such as three stone fires. To combat this, CQC is distributing clean cookstoves that eliminate the need for large fuel firewood, and alleviate pressure on forests. We spoke to several people about their experiences with deforestation, these are their stories.
