Mark Woodall

Chief Investment Officer

Mark leidt alle kapitaalwervings- en investeringsactiviteiten voor CQC. Als ondernemer, investeerder, adviseur en bestuurslid is Mark al meer dan 25 jaar toonaangevend in de ontwikkeling en financiering van hernieuwbare energie, koolstof en schone technologieën. Hij heeft twee gespecialiseerde investeringsbanken opgericht en geleid die zich richten op de koolstofarme economie: Impax Capital (1994) en Climate Change Capital (2002), waar hij in 2005 het grootste particuliere koolstoffonds ter wereld (meer dan 1 miljard dollar) bijeenbracht en voorzitter was van het investeringscomité. Hij is adviseur, investeerder of opdrachtgever geweest bij ongeveer 100 cleantech-transacties, waarbij in totaal meer dan 5 miljard dollar aan kapitaal is geïnvesteerd. Mark is ook opgetreden als niet-uitvoerend bestuurslid van een dozijn bedrijven en is lid geweest van een half dozijn investeringscomités voor infrastructuur- en technologiefondsen op het gebied van schone energie.

Guy Mansfield

Chief Financial Officer

Guy heeft 25 jaar ervaring als CFO en financieel executive in de energie-industrie met uitgebreide ervaring in het leiden van financiële teams in verschillende landen en culturen, inclusief het leveren van transversale organisatorische oplossingen in risicovolle, complexe en multidisciplinaire omgevingen. Hij is een deskundig adviseur van zowel raden van bestuur als managementteams en is momenteel de CFO van de handelsdivisie van een groot energiebedrijf, met ongeveer 600 werknemers en een netto-inkomen van ongeveer 1 miljard dollar.

Chen Yang

Chief Commercial Officer

Chen houdt toezicht op de verkoop- en marketingactiviteiten van CQC en op de strategische en commerciële ontwikkeling met partners en distributeurs. Chen heeft tien jaar ervaring in de technologie- en landbouwsector in functies op het gebied van strategie, internationale expansie en bedrijfsontwikkeling. Voordat ze bij CQC kwam, leidde ze activiteiten aan de vraagzijde voor Indigo Carbon, een toonaangevend bedrijf voor koolstof in de landbouwgrond in de VS. Chen heeft een BCom van de Universiteit van Melbourne en een MBA van de Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Jules Kortenhorst

Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director

Jules Kortenhorst serves as the CEO of C-Quest Capital. Prior to assuming this role, Jules was a partner at Vision Ridge Partners, a sustainable real assets investor capitalizing on the global transition to sustainability. Beginning his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co, Jules spent nearly a decade in various roles, including Managing Director for Royal Dutch/Shell/Shell Bulgaria. He also served as a member of the Dutch parliament for the Christian Democratic Party. Jules's credentials include leadership roles as CEO at several organizations dedicated to addressing climate change, including RMI (formerly Rocky Mountain Institute), a leading climate change NGO, the European Climate Foundation (which he founded), the largest philanthropic organization dedicated to climate change in Europe, and the International Operations of ClientLogic Corporation, a global leader in outsourced customer relationship management. Notably, Jules has chaired the WEF Global Future Councils for Energy and for Net Zero. He is a founding member of the global Energy Transitions Commission, chairman of ENSTALL Solar Group, and a board member of Circle Economy, an NGO supporting the circularity movement. Jules holds a master’s in economics from Erasmus University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Julian Parkin

Chief Transformation Officer

Julian started his career as a Chartered Accountant at PwC having a diverse career involving finance and risk consulting assignments. He then spent 17 years in financial services, transitioning from risk leadership positions to managing portfolios of regulatory and operational transformation and change. Most recently Julian has been guiding fast-growth organizations implementing transformation programs across operations, risk, data, and governance in multiple sectors. With a degree in Psychology from the University of Exeter and certifications in sustainability, program management and privacy, Julian is also actively involved as the Head of Finance at the InterClimate Network, a charity dedicated to inspiring the next generation of climate leaders.

Jolie Norris

General Counsel

Jolie joined C-Quest Capital in January 2024 and serves as the General Counsel for the company, responsible for the firm’s legal and compliance functions globally. She is an experienced commercial lawyer having operated in the global energy and commodities markets for many years. Jolie has covered a wide variety of legal matters relating to global commodity markets, including physical commodity trading; financial commodity derivatives; sustainability; compliance and regulatory matters; acquisitions and disposals of energy and commodity assets; energy and commodity finance; structured transactions; and supply, storage and offtake transactions. With over two decades of experience, Jolie has successfully established herself as a trusted advisor and a strategic partner to several business teams. She has spent more than 20 years at Goldman Sachs, including nearly 10 years as a Managing Director and Head of the Global Commodities legal team. Jolie holds a dual degree BEc/LLB (HONS) from the University of Western Australia.

Matt Siller

Matt heeft 20 jaar operationele, management- en bedrijfsontwikkelingservaring in opkomende markten. Matt behaalde een Master in Public Policy aan de Harvard Kennedy School en een Bachelor in Business Administration aan de University of Texas at Austin.

Brent Moser

Directeur Operaties, Regio Afrika

Brent houdt toezicht op de activiteiten en partnerrelaties in Afrika ten zuiden van de Sahara. Hij heeft elf jaar ervaring in zowel de engineering- als de energiesector. Hij werkte als agent voor voedselzekerheid en milieu in Peace Corps Zambia en richtte zich op het terugdringen van ontbossing, voedselonzekerheid en het verminderen van de kwetsbaarheid voor klimaatverandering. Brent heeft een Bachelor in Civil Engineering van de Universiteit van Florida.

Margot Clarvis, PhD

Hoofd op de natuur gebaseerde oplossingen

Margot Clarvis leidt de ontwikkeling en het beheer van de programma's van het CQC inzake op de natuur gebaseerde oplossingen. Margot heeft meer dan 15 jaar ervaring in onderzoek, partnerschapsontwikkeling en programmamanagement op het snijvlak van klimaatadaptatie, veerkracht, natuurbehoud en financiën. Voordat ze bij CQC kwam, was ze Director of Programmes bij Earth Security, een boutique adviseur voor natuurlijke activa voor investeerders, bedrijven en overheden, waar ze leiding gaf aan klantbetrekkingen en projecten over de betrokkenheid van de particuliere sector en de ontwikkeling van partnerschappen over de SDG's en op de natuur gebaseerde oplossingen in de Hoorn van Afrika, India, Indonesië en de Filippijnen. Ze heeft ook gewerkt met UNEP - Finance Initiative en ESG-informatieleverancier Asset 4 (nu Refinitiv). Als onafhankelijk consultant heeft ze samengewerkt met ngo's en financiële instellingen om programma's en producten te ontwikkelen voor op de natuur gebaseerde oplossingen en klimaatbestendigheid, waaronder de Internationale Organisatie voor Migratie, de Clean Cooking Alliance, Conservation International, AXA Climate, WWF en IUCN. Zij heeft een doctoraat in milieubeleid van de Universiteit van Genève, een MSc in milieutechnologie van het Imperial College London en een BA Hons in klassieke talen van de Universiteit van Cambridge.

Geoff Grimm

Hoofd informatietechnologie

Geoffrey Grimm beheert IT-systemen voor CQC, waaronder gegevensbeheersystemen. Geoff is een IT-professional met acht jaar ervaring in datasystemen, analytics en infrastructuur. Bij Booz Allen Hamilton gaf hij leiding aan een team van gegevenswetenschappers, ingenieurs en ontwikkelaars voor een ondernemingsbreed gegevens- en analyseplatform van het ministerie van Defensie, ADVANA, dat toepassingsoplossingen levert en onderhoudt voor de leiding van het ministerie van Defensie om real-time informatie te volgen, waarbij meer dan 20 gegevenssystemen van het ministerie van Defensie worden geïntegreerd op een beveiligd cloud-platform. Geoffrey heeft een mastergraad van de Universiteit van Chicago, waar hij overheidsbeleid en statistiek studeerde, en een bachelorgraad van de Illinois Wesleyan University.

Alice Ferretti

Hoofd Mensen & Cultuur

Alice leidt de Human Resources strategie en operaties bij CQC. Alice leidt een wereldwijd team van HR-professionals die CQC-teams ter plaatse en op kantoor ondersteunen. Met een achtergrond in klinische psychologie en een Master in Human Resource Management speelt Alice een sleutelrol in het bevorderen van de gezonde en boeiende werkomgeving die CQC onderscheidt van andere werkgevers. Ze verhuisde van Italië naar Washington DC om haar studie Human Resources aan de Georgetown University af te ronden. Voordat ze bij CQC kwam, leidde Alice Human Resources activiteiten voor startende en non-profit organisaties in het DC gebied.

Ryan Andre

Plaatsvervangend algemeen adviseur

Voordat hij bij CQC in dienst trad als Deputy General Counsel, was Ryan advocaat bij een advocatenkantoor in Washington, D.C., gespecialiseerd in milieumarkten, hernieuwbare energie, geavanceerde recycling en schone technologie, waar hij advies gaf over regelgevende en commerciële aspecten van internationale en Amerikaanse projectontwikkeling. Hij behaalde een master in milieubeleid aan de Universiteit van Cambridge en zijn J.D. magna cum laude aan de Vermont Law School.

Letitia Adu-Ampoma

Head of Compliance

Letitia joined C-Quest Capital in February 2024 as Head of Compliance, and she is responsible for CQC’s Global Compliance Programme. She has over 12 years of experience in designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring ethics and compliance programmes for multinational company operations across Sub-Saharan Africa and other emerging markets in Asia. Additionally, she has developed and directed company market strategies in areas of integrity, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability while managing complex private and public sector relationships. Having worked across varied industries including fintech, financial services, mobile telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and technology, and with companies such as Millicom (Tigo), GSK, Sandoz/Novartis, and Meta, Letitia brings international best-practice approaches to ethics and compliance. Letitia is a graduate of Oxford University, UK (PPE, M.A.Hons). Additionally, she is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP – I), a Certified Lead Implementer of ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management Systems), and a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Nidhi Maurya

Head of Carbon and Sustainability Team (CSAT)

Nidhi has over 16 years of experience in the consulting and development sectors, specializing in policy, reforms, regulatory oversight, program management, performance improvement, digitalization, modernization, RE integration, and energy transition. Her clients include governments, public and private utilities, unilateral and multilateral donor agencies, C&I consumers, etc., in India and the South Asian region. Formerly Vice President at Accenture in its Indian Practice, Nidhi led initiatives in the energy sector, focusing on strategy, consulting, renewable integration, decarbonization, DER mapping, visualization, DSM response measurement, smart metering, and promotion of digital interventions through policy and regulatory measures. Before Accenture, she headed the Energy Utilities practice at Research Triangle Institute (RTI) in India, managing large projects with a P&L exceeding USD 50 million. With 8 years at PwC India and 3 at TERI, Nidhi excelled in client and program management, business development, and revenue management. She played a key role in building and managing high-performing teams in the energy sector, overseeing training, capacity building, and growth of internal and external stakeholders. Nidhi, holds a master’s degree in business economics and a bachelor's in commerce from Delhi University, is also a published author with works like "Pricing of Urban Water Supply, Environment and Urbanization – Asia" for SAGE Journal & Publications.

Antonia Peart

Head of Investment

Antonia has a decade of experience working in project development focused on renewable energy and low carbon technology solutions. Before joining CQC, she was the Commercial and Legal Director for a large Australian renewable energy developer, focused on capital raising activities for renewable energy projects including utility scale solar and long duration storage projects. Antonia has extensive M&A and project finance transactional experience, starting her career as a lawyer in the Global Energy and Infrastructure team at Linklaters in London and Allens in Sydney, before moving into project development and investment. She has a BA from King's College, London and an LLB from the College of Law.

Daelus Lu

Head of Government Affairs/A6, Asia

With more than 11 years in account management and business development, Daelus leads CQC's engagements with governments around the world. He is also responsible for deepening relationships with corporates keen to invest in carbon projects or offtake carbon offsets. Before CQC, Daelus served as the Assistant Vice President for Singapore Economic Development Board, where he was instrumental in uncovering opportunities and securing foreign direct investments worth more than SGD$2.5B. He also spent four years based in Tokyo as the Regional Director engaging Fortune 500 Japanese companies in the Energy & Chemicals, Renewables, Agri-food, Equipment & Machinery industries. Finally, Daelus worked two years in Barclays Investment Bank following his graduation from the National University of Singapore. He holds a BBA (Honours), with specialization in Finance, and currently resides in Singapore.

Bhaskar Jyoti Nath

Head of Operations, Southeast Asia

With over 15 years of experience in program management and implementation within the fields of Clean Energy and Climate Change, Bhaskar expertly manages the implementation of CQC's community-based projects in Southeast Asia. Prior to joining CQC, Bhaskar served as an Associate Director at PwC India, where he led multiple energy and climate change mitigation related programs for a variety of bilateral and multilateral organizations, such as the EU, UNEP, UNDP, UNIDO, UNHABITAT, World Bank, and GiZ, among others, as well as government agencies in more than 18 countries. Bhaskar began his career in carbon financing, where he played a pivotal role in enabling over 50 private sector engagements to receive carbon finance. He holds an MBA degree from Management Development Institute, India, and an M.Tech from Tezpur University, India.

James Gillespie

Head of Marketing and Communications

James is a highly accomplished Marketing and Brand Strategy professional with 15 years of experience leading the strategic planning and execution of large-scale integrated marketing campaigns.
